Selected Testimonials
"….what an excellent document…….it's so well indexed and cross-referenced as to make it very useable as both a reference manual and a self-training manual. I'm impressed how you've managed to get enough technical understanding of all the related subjects and pull so many resources together into such a coherent form". (2002 - Reviewer's comments).

".....it is generally agreed that you were instrumental in assimilating the data for a smooth transfer to SAP". (1999 - General Manager, Heraeus Quartz Ltd - U.K. subsidiary of a large and long-established (mid-19th c.) German manufacturing company).

Please note that John has an in-depth background in applications' software development. He began with IBM and subsequently had supervisory and project leader rôles with Chrysler (UK) and British Oxygen before becoming freelance in 1979. His implementation record, particularly with Chrysler, was second to none. At Chrysler he was also chair of a Technical Standards sub-committee, as a result of which he personally drafted a new Technical Standards manual.

Subsequently, John built up a successful systems and software consultancy with a small-business orientation, and employed a number of staff. John has specifically concentrated on documentation consultancy since 1998.

John says, "My primary areas of experience have been in providing overall systems and software consultancy support in Manufacturing, Engineering and Distribution (focusing on Order Processing, Billing, Production and Stock Control, including Accounting (ledgers) applications). I have an innate ability to recognize potential problems. I have a special expertise with regard to documentation....But my main interest is in providing a quality service!"

Clients said, in his early years as a freelance:

".....Mr. Lerwill is an experienced and competent systems professional......we have always found him to be thoroughly professional and dedicated."

".....He was involved in design, programming, system testing and implementation.... successfully and on time, and I have no hesitation in giving this reference for someone I consider to be a first class analyst and programmer."
